On Wednesday, July 23, 2014, the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board will meet in order to: (1) consider and vote on the release of its third semi-annual report, (2) announce the Board’s short term agenda, and (3) receive the views of non-governmental organizations, the business community and the general public on its mid-term and long-term agenda. The Board will meet from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the JW Marriott Hotel in Salon II, 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC 20004-1710.
The meeting is open to the public and a meeting notice, with instructions for submitting comments, has been published in the Federal Register at https://federalregister.gov/a/2014-16155. Pre-registration is not required.
The deadline for Individuals wishing to orally present views on the mid-term and long-term agenda at the meeting has been extended. Such individuals must provide advance notice to Sharon Bradford Franklin, at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, Eastern Standard Time. The notice must include the individual’s name, title, organization, and a concise summary of the subject matter to be presented. Oral presentations may not exceed ten (10) minutes. The time for individual presentations will be reduced proportionately, if necessary, to afford all participants who have submitted a timely request an opportunity to be heard. The Board will prepare an agenda, which will be available at the hearing that identifies speakers and the time allotted for each presentation.
Participants wishing to submit a written statement for the record must submit a copy of such statement no later than 11:59 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, Eastern Standard Time in accordance with the instructions for submitting comments, which can be found at https://federalregister.gov/a/2014-16155.

All media participants will be provided a space centrally located in the room, on a riser, with access to a multi-box. Please make the appropriate accommodations for lighting, as the room is not very well lit. Internet access will not be provided.
